SMBA (FAKRA)

The SMBA® connectors are specially designed for automotive applications. They are based on the SMB connector interface and comply with the standard for a uniform connector system established by FAKRA (Automobile Expert Group). Due to their special standardised locking system SMBA® connectors  fulfil the high functional and safety requirements of today’s automotive industry.

SMBA® coaxial connectors meet the specification of DIN 72594-1 and USCAR-18

SMP

The SMP coaxial connectors incorporate a number of unique features making them very suitable for PCB interconnections, particularly their ability to absorb PCB tolerances. SMP coaxial connectors are offered both as ‘slide-on’ (Smooth bore) and ‘snap-on’ (Limited detent) types. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the SMP coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

SMA

The SMA threaded interface connectors are designed for higher frequency applications where maximum reliability and robustness is required. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the SMA coaxial connector is 50 ohm.

SMB

The SMB connectors incorporate a 'snap on' latching action for ease of connection. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions. The characteristic impedance of the SMB coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

The 75 ohm version is known as SMZ coaxial connector.

 

SMC

The SMC connectors have been designed with a 'threaded' coupling and have the same size as the SMB connectors. They are particularly suitable for use in high vibration environments. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the SMC coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

SMS

The SMS connectors have been designed with a 'slide on' coupling and have the same size as the SMB connectors. They are particularly suitable for rack and panel applications. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the SMS coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

SSMB-Nano

The SSMB-Nano connectors are a minimized version of the standard SMB connector and incorporate a 'snap-on' latching action or a 'slide-on' coupling for ease of connection. Due to extremely precise manufacturing tolerances this range of connectors is suitable for use at high operational frequencies. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the SSMB-Nano coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

SMM

The SMM connectors incorporate a 'snap on' latching action for ease of connection and are suitable for Surface Mount Technology (SMT). Because of their small physical size the use of automatic pick and place machines is feasable. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the SMM coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

 

MCX

The MCX connectors incorporate a 'snap on' latching action for easy and fast connection. Compared to SMB  connectors, they offer 30% reduction in installation space and weight. The frequency range is up to 6 GHz. This connector family is suitable for the standard range of flexible and semi-rigid cables as well as for PCB and panel mounting.

The characteristic impedance of MCX coaxial connectors is 50 or 75 ohm.

MMCX

The MMCX connectors incorporate a 'snap on' latching action for ease of connection with an excellent RF-performance. An additional advantage is their small physical size which is 50% of the standard MCX connector. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the MMCX coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

High Voltage Inserts

The High voltage insert connectors incorporate a 'slide on' coupling and have been designed for use in D-Sub and DIN 41612 mixed layout connectors.

The maximum operating voltage of the high voltage inserts is 2,8 KV.

Coaxial Inserts DIN 41612

The Coaxial insert connectors incorporate a ‘slide-on’ coupling and have been designed specifically for use in DIN 41612 or DIN 43355 mixed layout  connectors. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the coaxial inserts is 50 or 75 ohm.

 

Coaxial Inserts D-Sub

The coaxial insert connectors incorporate a 'slide on' coupling and have been designed specifically for use in D-Sub mixed layout connectors. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible cables and is also available in PCB mount versions.

N

The N threaded interface connectors are suitable for high frequency, low intermodulation and low return loss applications. Several styles within this range are supplied with sealing rings. Therefore, they are suitable for outdoor applications. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in panel mount versions.

7/16

The 7/16 threaded interface connectors have been designed for low intermodulation and VSWR applications in medium to high power transmission systems. Several styles within this range are supplied with sealing rings. Therefore they are suitable for outdoor and tower mounted applications acc. to IP 68 water tightness. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the 7/16 coaxial connectors is 50 ohm.

FME

The FME threaded interface connectors are particularly suitable for vehicle mount antenna applications. This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

BNC

The BNC connectors incorporate a bayonet lock interface which provides a rapid and reliable connection.
This connector range is suitable for the standard ranges of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.

The characteristic impedance of the BNC coaxial connectors is 50 or 75 ohm

1.6 / 5.6

This range of precision 75 ohm connectors meet both the high mechanical and electrical specifications required by the latest telecommunication switching equip-ments. Designed to work at both analogue frequencies and high digital bit rates the connectors are designed for termination onto the standard ranges of 75 ohm flexible cables. Other styles are available for both panel and distribution frame mounting together with Press-fit versions for PCB mounting.
