Collection of general information
Whenever this offering is accessed we and/or the webspace provider automatically collect information. This information, also known as server logfiles, is of a general nature and cannot be used to identify you.

Over and above this, we use anonymous information for statistical purposes. This information helps us to optimize our offering and technology. In addition to this, we reserve the right to retrospectively check the logfiles should we suspect unlawful use of our offering.

Processing of the data provided during the registration process is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time by sending us an informal communication by email. The lawfulness of any data processing which has already taken place will remain unaffected by such a withdrawal.
We will store the data collected during the registration process for as long as you are registered on our website, after which it will be deleted. Statutory legal retention periods will remain unaffected by this.
The site provider will automatically collect and store information in so-called ‘server logfiles’ which your browser automatically transmits to us. This information is:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the computer accessing the website
- Time of the server request

This website uses Google Analytics, a Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”) web analysis service. This use comprises the “Universal Analytics” service which facilitates assignment of data, sessions and interaction across multiple devices to a pseudonymized user ID and thus cross-device analysis of the user’s activities.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the corresponding settings in your browser software; please however be aware that should you do so, you may not be able to use all the functions offered by this website to their full extent. Over and above this, you can block the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on. Opt-out cookies prevent future gathering of your data when visiting this website. In order to block collection by Universal Analytics across various devices you must carry out the opt-out for all the systems you use. Click here to install the opt-out cookie: Deactivate Google Analytics
This website uses the “Google AdWords” online advertising programme and, within the scope of Google AdWords, conversion tracking. Google AdWords will install a conversion tracking cookie on your computer if you access our website via a Google ad. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification purposes. Should the user visit certain pages on this website before the cookie expires, Google and we are able to recognize that the user clicked the ad and was taken to the page. Every Google AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. It is thus not possible to trace cookies via AdWords customers’ websites.
The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have booked the conversion tracking option. Customers receive information regarding the total number of users who clicked their ad and were taken to the website equipped with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any information which would enable them to identify the user’s personal details.
Should you not wish to participate in tracking, then you can deactivate the Google conversion tracking cookie in your Internet browser settings. This procedure is simple and easy. Once you have done this, you will no longer be included in conversion tracking statistics. Please visit the following Internet address for more information regarding Google data protection policies: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy
Use and application of Bing Ads
This website uses Bing Ads technologies to collect and store data which is used to pseudonymized usage profiles.
The operator of Bing Ads services is the Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA.
The service allows us to track users’ activities on the website if these users accessed the site via a Bing Ads ad. Should you access our website via such an ad, then a cookie will be installed on your computer. A corresponding Bing UET tag (universal event tracking tag) has been installed on the website for this purpose. This tag is a code which is used in conjunction with the cookie to store various non-personal data items concerning use of the website. These include length of stay on the website; which areas of the website were visited and which ad the user clicked to access the website. No information regarding your identity will be collected.
The information collected will be transmitted to Microsoft servers in the USA, where they will, as a matter of principle, be stored for a maximum of 180 days.
As described in Section 10 above, you can permanently object to the installation of cookies by our website.
In addition to this, Microsoft is able to track your user behaviour across multiple electronic devices using so-called ‘cross-device tracking’ technology and thus to present personalized advertising on/in Microsoft websites and apps. Visit choice.microsoft.com/de-de/opt-out to deactivate this feature.
For more information on Bing analysis services visit the Bing Ads website ( help.bingads.microsoft.com). For more information on Microsoft and Bing data protection policies, see Microsoft’s data protection guidelines (privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement).
Matomo (formerly called Piwik)
This website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo. Matomo uses technologies that make it possible to recognize the user across multiple pages with the aim of analyzing the user patterns (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information recorded by Matomo about the use of this website will be stored on our server. Prior to archiving, the IP address will first be anonymized.
Through Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website by website visitors. This enables us to find out, for instance, when which page views occurred and from which region they came. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator's web offerings and advertising. If a corresponding agreement has been requested (e.g. an agreement to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on.
In some cases, our web pages use so-called “cookies”. Cookies cannot damage your computer or infect it with viruses. Cookies are used to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files which are installed on your computer and stored by your browser.
Most of the cookies which we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser when you revisit the site.
You have the option of setting your browser to inform you about the installation of cookies and to only allow their installation in individual cases; to block their acceptance in specific cases or in general and to activate automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. Deactivation of cookies may restrict the functionality of this website.
Cookies which are required to carry out electronic communications or to provide specific functions which you wish to use (e.g. shopping basket function) will be stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure the technically error-free, optimized provision of his services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyse your surfing behaviour) are stored, then these will be addressed separately in this data protection declaration.
If you send us enquiries via our contact form, then we will store the information which you provide on the contact form, including your contact details, to facilitate processing of your enquiry and any subsequent questions which may arise. This data will only be forwarded if you consent to it.
Processing of the data provided on the contact form thus takes place solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by sending us an informal communication by email. The lawfulness of any data processing which has already taken place will remain unaffected by such a withdrawal.
We will retain the data provided on the contact form until you request us to delete it; withdraw your consent to its storage or the purpose for which the data was stored no longer exists (e.g. when processing of your enquiry has been completed). Statutory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – will remain unaffected by this.

Although we make every effort to only use third-party providers who only require IP addresses to provide content, we have no influence on whether or not IP addresses may possibly be stored. In such cases, storage is, among other things, for statistical purposes. Where we are aware that IP addresses are stored, we will inform our users accordingly.

For more information on the handling of user data, see the YouTube data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

No forwarding of data to third parties
Your data will not be transferred to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so. Where external service providers come into contact with your personal data, then we have implemented legal, technical and organizational measures as well as regular checks to ensure that these providers comply with data protection regulations.

You have the right to submit a request for free information concerning the personal data which we store and/or for its rectification, restriction or erasure.
